    Ultimatecarpage.com update (06-29-05)

“International Vehicle Design” was the theme for this years running of the Eyes on Design Automotive Exhibition in Grosse Pointe, Michigan this past weekend. Thousands of spectators and entries enjoyed the contrasting automotive designs from around the world that were on display. Eyes on Design is traditionally regarded as a small, but very unique show that is always stocked with a few surprises. Tatra, Jomar and Daniels are just a few of the interesting names spread out between classic Impalas, Jags and Dueseys. Small 60’s Toyotas contrasted well with the muscular 70’s American pony cars.
The stifling humid weather may have diminished some of the atmosphere but the supportive crowds appreciated all of the effort put into this grand fundraising event.
Our staff was in attendance to capture all of the action and present a full report and 125 shot slideshow.

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

I just looked at the slideshow and I enjoyed it throughly. I do have a question though, I thought that there was no Toyota 2000 GT convertible and they just made one for the Bond movie, but there was one in the slideshow. How is that?

Toyota actually built two for the movie, both RHD. We have not confirmed this yet, but it is our belief that a coupe owner got in a creative mood with a hacksaw.

    That TVR is intresting.

    Good lad.

That's a very interesting idea, and one that will surely put everyone talking about what really brings us here. Nice move!
Later on I'll whatch the pics, read the text and put up my comment.

Once again you've come up with the goods Wouter, thank everyone that helped do that.

This show is great. I love this kind of show that brings up cars with incredible details, that after all this years are new to most of enthusiasts. Cars with strange lines, sometimes ugly but very unique, are a fantastic site.

It's not unique; both Bentley and TVR have constructed Speed Sixes.

And more recently VW's blatant Maserati rip-off with the Bora.
