Rappers are not people. They're less than dirt. The ways in which they pronounce things/the manner in which they speak are not the way other people do(unless you're a white, suburban moron with no concept of self). By that logic everyone in America would say 'nigger'(or is that nigga?) at least once in every other sentence.

In Cathteel, perhapth, but in other Spanish-speaking lands, like Southern California, it's mercy-eh-lahgo.

We Americans do over-pronounce our AR's, but we rarely insert them just for the hell of it. A notable exception is one very provincial section of New York City, the area where the Bunkers lived, where they go to the "terlet" if it happens to be working at the time. I don't know if they also say "Ter-yo-da" for Toyota.

We have very pronounced (heh, heh) regional accents in the U.S, so I can't speak for the whole country, but in California, we say "rest-room," "Mahz-dah, and "Toy-yo-da."

Are we to assume that you always pronounce Rome as "Roma"? Paris as "Pahr-ee"? Munich as "Munchen"? And Vienna as "Wien"?

Words are supposed to be pronounced the way they are... pronounced, by most people in the region where the speaker happens to live. Spelling is a different matter, of course, and the correct spelling is "proNUNciation."

The correct one is the second one. Altough I've always pronounced it the first way.

Me too. I wasn't sure, but in any case Lahn-see-ya sounds better to me, so I'm gonna be stubborn and stick with it, except in the presence of Italians. When in Rome, etc., etc...
