To me the McLaren F1 is and probably always will be the greatest, after being out of production for 10 yrs it is still the benchmark to which all others (including the Enzo) are measured.

Well I am starting this thread because of that atombob03 who has insaulted perhaps the greatest car of all time. So i want to know what everyone thinks is the greatest supercar of all time. I say the Ferrari Enzo is. What do you think

I think that when you are looking for the greatest supercar of all time, you must have in mind the reasons that make it so special. If you like very much a car, you cant say its the greatest supercar of all time just because you like it, you must look for a car thats unique, (a great race car), a truly Supercar. There are so many great supercars, its not a easy choice. I cannot think of a car in particular that can beat all the other.
When you remember a supercar that has changed somehow the course of automobil history post a reply. I dunno whats the greatest, so if some one could correctly choose one i will be glad to now what supercar is it.

Well i now what car was the first to be classified as a supercar.
That was the Lamborghini Miura presented at the 1966 Geneva Motorshow, five years later, after the versions S and Jota, the coupe SV was presented at the same motorshow, surprising Lamborghini's rival Enzo Ferrari.

1993, 11 years ago and only a couple have come close to beating its top speed.
'The best supercar' to me means: Speed, looks, performance and pleasure.
The f1 has all of that, Nothing compares with it. Only The Enzo comes close.

Other than that The Jaguar XJ220. 213mph and beauty. That is How old?

My favorite supercars:

3- Ford GT40 (road going version) Looks gorgeous plus has specs a little bit milder than the race car.

2- Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa 1957 - Fell in love with that car.

1- Porsche Carrera GT- Porsche first true supercar... 800 BHP , Atmosphric V10... Technology neverbefore seen in a road car... can't wait to try one!

'56 410 Superfast Pininfarina Speciale or the '57 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Speciale. Beautiful in their own ways. OK, the fins on the first one are a little much...but I am American, I'm supposed to like excess, right?

Anyway, I'd say the Cobra Roadsters and Ford GT40 also make my list, as does the good ol' Miura. I'm sure there's more, but supercars and spotscars aren't my forte.

it's hard to beat the f1 if you're comparing overall abilities.

It looks fantastic, and I'm sure it drives just as well. Seating for three, and ...you know.

The enzo is a great car, but looks DO have to be factored in, IMO, and the enzo's appearance is very iffy. Some like it, some hate it, but it's not my favorite. Neither is the Zonda.

The koeniggsegg is tits though.

And if you really want a barebones supercar, the Ford RS200 still holds the record for fastest to 60 (2.9 i think). I'd love to pull up next to somebody in one, then just blow the doors off them.
