I'm not really comparing my time on a video game to a real life time, just kinda interesting.y
I think I've clearly stated that this was on a video game

I just received the new Sport Auto and there was an article about the Donkervoort D8 RS, which was fastetst on the Nürburgring and set a new lap record:

    7.18,10min

The lap times are sooo impressive. A few years ago it was hardly possible for a car to reach 8 min, and now the record is in the low 7's. I wonder where this will end though. There still is a limit for street tyres...

    That's pretty impressive.

I presume it's the race special version like this ...

Was it maybe running race rubber ??

Can you scan and post the article, I'd love to see what setup and tune they were running. With the Audi engine it's a fast wee beastie

I would like to see the times of two other production cars that i think would come close to the CGT... the zonda c12 and the enzo.

just for fun anyone have any idea how a mclaren would do in the Nürburgring?

Yep, I will do that. And it was that car

It's impressive to see that the car lost a lot on the high spped section, but gained sooo much time in corners, that it had the best time overall.
Another hint for Bugatti Veyron. It's not the horsepower that it's all about...

BTW, I can rmember the enzo is so low, that on some sections its nose runs on ground. But I guess we will never really know, because noone will give a car for a try.
The Zonda was already tested, it did the lap in 7.44min!

We could be in for some great times in the spring.
Radical will be taking their V8 and they have made some failry substantial aero upgrades for the extra power.
Fantastic to see that the fundamental Colin Chapman design of the 1960s can still grab some high laptimes

IT is the IDEAL design. reduce wight to get the most out of the engine... simple
    7-44 is a respectable time for a zonda ...
