This is my first ever wheel change. I also lowered the car, as it looks a bit high in the original pic. And notice the mesh grilles. I also tried two-tone, but it didn't come out well, so I'm not posting it. For the next chop, then!

whoa....
er...nice rim change but a messy color change. watch out for da edges.
what do you do to change the colour? the edges are always sharp, i have no idea how you are doing it...
The rear rims is a bit messed because a huge chunk of it is missing and the fender paint is all messed but everything else is good.
i would like to know how you changed colour like that

ah, what tool did u use to select the car?? you have to use polygonal lassoo. zoom in very far to get it more accurate. its the only way it works.Originally Posted by islero

nice work but i wat someone to tell couple of things (iam new) :$
Hello.
Lets put it this way...my first chop was not much better than yours
You need to correct something either in the resolution of the base pic (in dpi) or in the selection options box...only a print screen from your computer would tell what wrong.
Keep working and you'll get better.
Have fun.

contrary to what a lot of people think, and do, polygonal lasso is not the only way to get it looking neat, i cant beleive you are saying that. it is far easier to use the magnetic lasso tool to go around, then use the polygonal to tough up the areas it didnt select well. i think shift allows you to add selection to your previous selction with another lasso tool and alt lets you cut part of it out. another more messy alternative is, where it wont select clearly in magnetic, you just make sure it includes at least the part you need, then erase later. not bad chop, btw, work on that color change and the wheels a bit and ur good.

yeah, but look now at the clean job on the Renault 5 Turbo. I used a poly lasso for THAT one. Maybe I can try your method on my next one. Stay tuned!!
