    Egg Nog's new Car :)

I'm picking this 944 up tomorrow... already put a $500 down payment on it.

It's a 1984 - 5-speed manual, leather interior, power options, etc. It's a rare colour from Porsche called "Kalahari Platinum" - kind of a shiny light bronze - a bit hard to describe.

The car was brought up from Arizona a few years ago and the body on it is perfect. Absolutely no rust whatsoever. It's got a few new things and some suspension goodies as well - I'll do a full report as soon as I pick it up.

I got a very good deal. Total cost for the car is $3500 CAD ($2800 USD, €2250)

Now I just need to sell the 914

Congrats!!! That's a nice ride!!! I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it for many years to come Oh, and don't forget to do your own test on it

It's too bad Porsche stoped making the 944 and the 928. Porsche could have refined them over time like they've done with the 911.

Very solid car. Impressively large and powerful 4 in there, and IMO the best looking cheap porsche (no offense to your 914 or anything). It even beats the 928 in my book. Consider the turbo or S editions? That was one car I definately had my eye on...check out the new photos of the quattro I got. And if you're ever on the east coast, i'll race you down storrow :-D
    And Iraaaaaaaaaaaan

This particular car caught my eye because of the price - I got it for around half of what most 944 models are going for in my area. I'd love another, especially a 944S2 or a Turbo, but this one is amazing for the price, which is what counts right now. Also, the standard model is known to be very reliable, which is a definite plus for me right now

hehehe I'll buy the 914 jk

anyway, I could questiona bout the rarity of hte colour, there's one always parked in a lot in Thiensville that colour, and I see another one that colour around the city often.

nice choice, a solid everyday car, solid performer, all good

The exterior of this car really is in immaculate condition. Shawn is really lucky to have found this and be the first one to go and see it. Once he gets it, we are surely going to go on some kind of crazy new car road trip with the honies. We will post pics

cool, did you consider the 968? ive heard alot about it being more up to date interiout wise, and its faster! hehe, anyway, great car, nice color, there were alot of these (EDIT: alot of 944's)in PCA when my dad had his 993 (while it was current) and raced his 73' carrera rs ( i loved that car)

The reason why I didn't consider getting a 968 is the same reason why I didn't consider getting a Carrera GT
