I voted for Ferrari, but if Jeep or Dodge was on the list one of those would have been my choice.

Ferrari, because it seems like most of the people who can afford them buy them because they are expensive (status symbol 101) not because they even like them or want to drive them.

    I must just be jelouse?

my dads like that now after getting the M3.....after going to the motorshow, he was saying that he sat in an STi and they dont impress him anymore. apparently there was to much of a thud when the door closed and the interior panel on the B pillar was too loose according to him, but then he went on to say perhaps he's been spoiled with the E36...when i laughed and said yeah thats it, i got no response out of him as if he'd taken offense......

Well I hadn't seen this coming, I would have thought Merc would have easily outrun BMW in the votes for biggest jerks among fans...

I think an M3 puts him somewhat beyond the wannabe BMW driver level. That is one serious car I think we would all love to have.

good point, what im sayin bout Beamer drivers is they save up heaps to but 3.18i and think theyre all awesome when really its just a glorified pulsar! thats what they are in europe. why not buy a Berlina or something instead that has all the same options if not MORE for the same price and get a bigger car? morons

You'd think so, but it was only when i commented on the M3 being BMW's 2nd fastest model that he had any clue on what "type" of car it was marketed as, he simply saw "$60K 1996 BMW" in the paper, rung the guy up about it and was gunna buy it.......now he never stops comparing the build quality, hp/l and resale of the 8 year old beemer to his 2001 one tonner....and now its with an STi even..

Its Beemer's closest competitor with the 3 series, it kicks off with supercharged 4's then V6's but at a much higher price, and the 3's are the better cars

Hey you've gotta admit BMW have a pretty strong model lineup, there aren't many duds in the range, apart from the X3, but thats the only one i can think of

MB always seem to be countering BMW with their superchargers.....the 3 series has the 1.8, the C class has the 1.8 supercharged.....then theres the naturally aspirated M5 and the supercharged E55....just an observation...

Many people actually believe though that whilst BMW's engines are better, as a car, the MB's are a bit better...i'd be plenty happy with either i think, the MB styling is better IMO
