To difficult as template needs to be kept for each user, the user has to be able to define which one to use and any addition needs rippled through all the templates.

So far, we've hit the 'standard' UI design issues and folks are reflecting their experiences matching the expectation. Let Wouter try some more things and see.

Don't get used to it, the majority does not seem to approve.

I think it's good that you guys are trying the different possibilities, I think that this layout has it's merits, but overall I think that I preferred the previous one.

I agree with Matt on the avatar thing...

How about if perhaps the avatar were on the left hand side of the text, thusly?

For the last setup, info on the side, I had upped the res to 1280X1024. This new layout works fine with 1024X768.

The online lights been there. Just diff location now, more visible.

Easier to follow and locate with info table on the side, IMO. I prefer the older, SIDE setup.

I prefer this new layout to the old one, i just wanted to make a small request or suggestion, would it be possible to include a thread list, starting from new to old, i think the home page can fit 20, but i donīt come here that often and miss a few, so if it could be possible, a zone or a list with the 40? 50? new thread list...Thank you.

Wouter, I like the idea of trying new things, but this layout is just flat-out bad

I don't really like it much either, for pretty much the same reasons as Matt said above.

oh and my resolution is 1024 by 768.

If we go back to the old layout, I I'd like to suggest keeping the "who's on line" light next to the name. So we don't have to scroll down to check.

Although I liked the old way better, I am in favour of trying new things. If you were to do it this way, is it possible to move all the information that's under the username to the middle of the box? That way, it would take up even less space.

I dont like the avatar being all the way_____________________________on the other sied of the post, just clump it in with the other user info and keep in on the left with everything else under your name and title.

i dont prefer this set up, sorry wouter, but you made ucp tooo perfect the first time, it needs no changes for layout imo

in fact i think its harder to read this new way, because everything is on top of each other
