I thought i should get in early for my version of next years points. This year i started it with what i thought was a more rewarding system, and as early as round 5, the top 5 drivers seemed to be making a fair buffer from the rest.
Right now the points are organised as:
1st - 80 points
2nd - 72 points
3rd - 66 points
4th - 60 points
5th - 56 points
6th - 52 points
7th - 48 points
8th - 44 points
9th - 40 points
10th - 36 points
11th - 32 points
12th - 30 points
13th - 28 points
14th - 26 points
15th - 24 points
16th - 22 points
17th - 20 points
18th - 18 points
19th - 16 points
20th - 14 points
21st - 12 points
22th - 11 points
23nd - 10 points
24rd - 9 points
25th - 8 points
26th - 7 points
27th - 6 points
28th - 5 points
29th - 4 points
20th - 3 points
31st - 2 points
32nd - 1 point
That works out well IMO as many of the sprint rounds only include the top 32 placed drivers. My system works that everyone gets points, so anyone in that case would walk away with points, capiche.
Do you think it should be set out so that only 1st gets significantly more than everyone else?
Should it offer points to EVERYONE rather than the top 32?
Should Bathurst and Sandown get more points, specifically Bathurst?
Should there be MORE points offered for moving up the ranks?
Should non finishers get no points like the official system?
Any feedback is appreciated....
