i dont think that sportivo was ever sposed to be production just a show off of what toyota can do. I mean it had a joystick instead of a steering wheel

well either way, the 180kw engine it had was slated to be put into the Camry at some time, and it sure as hell looked better than our camry overall....

what sort of motor is that?
also, in the USA you can get a camry coupe so that might be a bit of a seller for toyota here

i think it was only the 2.4L, but turbocharged of course. there WERE plans of a supercharged V6 to go into the Camry i think around when the XR6T was released....

i saw some pics of that Camry coupe, and IMO its worse than the Taurus that we saw before the AU.....i think theres even a convertible version now.....

i know it looks bad but think of all those people who have to deal with a camry as a company car they can say "look its only a camry" but finally have a good car

well its more than likely still based on the camry platform, so maybe the styling can b saved. i know my mums 98 camry looks alright from the side, nice raked rear window profile and low slung nose, it'd look good dropped about 2" with some nice 17" rims and phat red calipers on slotted rotors behind it

well when its put that way, i think the negatives outweigh the positives

but that Sportivo Concept was AWD so i think theres hope in the 98 model, might be up for the engine swap to go with the AWD drivetrain though..

neg camber or positive camber, i always thought positive camber was when the top of the wheel as closer together tha the bottom......

either way, im tryin to make this motorised billy cart and ince its gunna have like a locked diff, im gunna try put heaps of positive camber on

Dont do what they do at Bathurst Rover v8 in things no bigger than a ride on lawnmower
Negitive camber is when the bottom of the wheels are further away from each other, helps with turn in when suspension is loaded up

well the engine thats more than likely going in is just this 4 stroke 105cc shitbox that i pulled off a 3 wheeler, ive heard its the same thing that the posty bikes have. i think im gunna be building the chassis as more of a cage than a floorplan though, so the 105cc might not be enough. what i REALLY want to do, is get like the front clip off a mini or something and see what i can make of it either that or shop around for maybe a briggs and stratton motor, and just use the 105cc as a "learning curve" between myself ad my brother

    - with 18" chromies
    - gold badges
    - dumped
    - tinted windows
    - only saw it parked as i drove past so i dont know (but would assume) theres a fart can involved somewhere.
