im thinking maybe a turbo 4 cylinder like an FJ20 or SR20 all the way up to a Lexus 4L. Down here you can by supercharged Lexus crate motors pushing out about 320kw and 550nm with a simple twin screw supercharger

Well what would you plan on making the displacement?? 2L?? My vision of the BEST car in the world caries more than a huge supercharger on a I4 2L engine.

If we wanted to, it could have a 6L V12 working quad turbo's on a kerb weight of sub 500kg, but thats impossible. A high revving, forced induction straight 4 could be good for the car, same could a small capacity V8 like the Lexus unit....

I made it longer to fit a mid mounted engine, and tweaked around some other stuff.
