are you running the car in by how the manual says? different people will tell you different methods, like drive it like its stolen or drive it like a 60yo with a heart problem

manual says keep under 5000 rpm but my brother said it's a good idea let all the gaskets weld in let everything set in cause at the momment it stinks, Like a new car he said Then open it up down the track. But you would swear they would get enough time themselves when testing it out to run it in.

and the redlines 7Krpm right, so yeah 5Krpm sounds about right, maybe once its got about 1000km on you can open it right up or something. normally i suppose coming out of the VL you'd never need that many revs, but a small car, small engine etc, you need all the power you can get so i dare say every time you give it a bit, it jumps up to 4000rpm+

Yeah the revs go high just over 7000rpm and it does get it's power over 4000rpm. But one thing when going hard and changing gears it holds the high revs and makes it sound like you have stuck the clutch in and left your foot on the loud peddle, And thats when my brother said we might go easy on it see how we go let everything settle in nice and easy then open it up later down the track see if it's still doing it.
She has done 200k allready she will get there fast
Funny thing happend to her she went to caltex to fill up on vortex and it wouldn't work she thought hey? It's Premin unleaded vortex should be right but it isnt, As much as other cars do run on 95-98 octane this is only 95 octane just premiun unleaded 95.
The nossle won't go in the tank at all so bye bye caltex vortex and hello BP PULP.

That was the fuel that wouldnt go in the tank it was stuck at the head of the filler

She got in her VL calais today and said it felt like shit, I think she is warming to the Gen2 But the VL will be fixed this week.

Rang a exhaust joint they told me the VC manifold has differnt ports to the VB engine
