I do like it, and the new 5-litre V8 is on the par with the other enignes in the class (unlike the previous one). My favourite car in the segment is still the XJ, but the S-class has moved up the order to be behind the jag.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.

He just copied and pasted other people's posts. It even has Misho's sig in it. Weirdo.
I'm going to eat breakfast. And then I'm going to change the world.
I'm guessing that the plastic part in the grill is probably a support for the hood "hook"

Stuttgart, Jun 24, 2005
The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class, available from Mercedes-Benz outlets and authorized dealerships in autumn 2005, will cost EUR 70,760 (ex-works) for the S 350 with V6 petrol engine (200 kW/272 hp), and EUR 89,668 (ex-works) for the S 500 V8 model (285 kW/388 hp). From Quarter 1, 2006, Mercedes-Benz will launch the S 320 CDI (173 kW/235 hp) as the perfect, albeit less powerful addition to the new S-Class. The new twelve-cylinder S 600 Saloon will also be launched in 2006.
The new luxury Saloon will be launched with standard-fit high-tech innovations that deliver maximum safety and exemplary comfort no other car can match. These include the preventive PRE-SAFE® occupant protection system that Mercedes-Benz has refined further, the unique 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission with DIRECT-SELECT gearshift and steering-wheel gearshift buttons as well as the sophisticated COMAND system featuring car radio, colour display, DVD player and port for computer memory cards (PCMCIA cards). The Mercedes-Benz AIRMATIC air suspension with Adaptive Damping System, that is also standard-fit on the new S-Class, helps deliver superb ride comfort.
Automatic climate control, 17-inch light-alloy wheels, tyre pressure loss warning system, hydraulic boot lid closing function, doors that can be held at any point in the opening arc, electrically adjustable front seats with lumbar supports and adaptive brake light are also included in the impressive standard specification for the new Mercedes-Benz top-of-the-range model.
The V8 S 500 Saloon (285 kW/388 hp) also comes as standard with leather upholstery, heated front seats, memory package for front seats, steering column and exterior mirrors, automatically dimming rear mirrors, infra-red reflecting heat-insulated glass and metallic paintwork.
Both engine variants for the new S-Class are also available with a 130 millimetre longer wheelbase (3165 millimetres) as an option. The standard specification also includes leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, electrically adjustable rear outer seats, electrically operated blind for the rear windows and tilting/sliding sunroof.
The S 350 (200 kW/282 hp) long-wheelbase version will cost EUR 78,416 (ex-works), and the S 500 long-wheelbase version EUR 95,236 (ex-works).
