Just to clarify, McLaren didn't call any of the cars "F1 GTR LeMans". It's a minor detail, but I think accuracy is important.
There are "F1 GTR"s, and there were "F1 LM"s.
McLaren made no distinction between the '95 & '96 short tailed versions and '97 long tailed versions of the GTR as far as names go, and there were no versions of the cars built specifically for racing at LeMans unlike some other cars.
The '97 GTRs are typically called the "F1 GTR longtail", but that is not an official name per se.
Here are some shots of the first F1 GTR - chassis #01R - wearing it's presentation livery. Somewhat by chance, this is the exact same GTR that would go on to win LeMans in 1995 wearing the Ueno Clinic livery.
