WRC - That's motorsport!

FYI... the LM is not a real LM, but a regular F40 that has been seriously upgraded. As for the jacked up yellow SLK, it looks to be the one that was driven around the world. They took the SLK body and mated it to an ML chassis, so that they could handle off-road terrain in the trip around the world. It may look ugly, but it is that way for a reason, not just for the sake of ugly.Originally Posted by Lani Kai

That's Roland's is it not? It's certainly not a real LM.Originally Posted by nopassn
As for the Mercedes, I have a '99 Auto Motor und Sport sitting right in front of me, with a picture of the Mercedes-Benz "GLK" on the cover.
It is/was owned by Jim Rogers, built, as you said, for a world trip. It uses a G class chassis and the body of an SLK, with a small trailer fashioned out of the rear of an identical SLK. It's a 6 page article, but my German isn't that up to scratch. Perhaps I can scan it when I have some time if people want to take a look.

I also think it's Roland's car, the only thing that put me off is the lack of stickers on it. Hardly seem to be any, as compared to most of the other shots of his car. Never met him, but from what I've read I can certainly agree with that statement.Originally Posted by nopassn
