It's not bad. Too many horizontal lines up front for my taste though, and what's with the oval foglamps???
The Honda Accord looked OK until they introduced oval foglamps with the facelift - oval foglamps = BAD -
The bum is a bit droopy too, but does have some resemblance to the SLR, especially the bumper. I'm no fan of the SLR's bum though.
I especially don't like the reverse lights in the rear-light-clusters. A bit Korean.
The rest isn't bad.
EDIT:
And oh, the wheels have way too much of... something. Don't know exactly what, but whatever it is it isn't good.

I never saw that thing coming, that thing looks like a R-class coupe.
I have and will always like the C215 CL-class, it just doesn't compromise what it's meant to be: a 2-door S-class. The C215 is just as "bossy" as the S-class, but this new C216 looks like a boat on wheels. What in the hell is with the designers? That doesn't look like the new S-class at all, it looks like a BMW you see everyday.

what a disgustingly horrid car!!!!!!! UGLY!!!!!!! too bad the present version is leaving us...

What's wrong with oval foglamps? It just makes the road brighter so you don't slam into a tree.
meh, not really.Originally Posted by mclaren_crazy

Aside from that,
I like it.
Thanks for all the fish
I like it. There's definite S-Class cues but it's got a bit of its own identity in the design. But why did MB fire their wheel designers?

For some reason, I actually like this new CL. Like other cars, it should look at its very best in real life. I didn't think the CLS was that nice in pictures, but in real life, it's incredible.

I entirely Agree - The New Merc Designs are amazingly wheel dependant. When I first saw the new S-Class with these wheels I nearly barfed, but get some other wheels on there and the outlook changes.Originally Posted by 2ndclasscitizen
White, and these wheels, do not suit it at all. But I guess Mercedes is hoping that the Rap crowd will be interested and Pimp it out.....

I was comparing the old S and CL for somebody who said the new CL looked too much like the new S from the rear...Originally Posted by Souljah

Being nice since 2007.
Was this a boat in it's former life?
love the front but the backs ugly and the rear overhang = WAY too big
EDIT: I think this'll look really good in a dark colour

i agree as well... i always said that the S-class only looks nice when some bigger, nicer wheels are on it, like the 2 AMG ones... otherwise the car's look is ruined... these wheels are ugly i think, but some nice wheels and a dark paint job and i think it'll look way better...Originally Posted by IBrake4Rainbows
EDIT: found a photoshop picture on another website... he changed the wheels which i thought was fitting to this conversation
