This car was hand built for a Ferrari Club of Australia member.
It has been built on a 70’s 96” wheelbase 400 chassis that has been shortened to make it a 2 seater, turret and doors from a late 60's Intermeccanica coupe, dash from an ex-Le Mans 250GT (thrown away in the US when converted to LHD!).
The engine is a 5 litre quad cam V12 producing well in excess of 400bhp. The engine is now situated entirely behind the front axle line (as in a modern front engine V12 Ferrari), with a 5 speed gearbox. The owner has milled the side-draught inlet manifolds off the 400 cam covers and cast downdraft manifolds, the bonnet bulges result from the fuel injection system running through Webber DCNF throttle bodies.
The body is entirely hand beaten from steel, apart from the aluminium bonnet. Styled with cues from a number of 60’s Ferraris, the fit and finish is aimed to be of the absolute highest standard.
The owner also has a 365GTC in excellent condition.
