    First look at Hyundai Veracruz

Some official photos of the 2007 Hyundai Veracruz have leaked online ahead of its official debut later this month. Veracruz will compete primarily with upper midsize crossovers including Honda Pilot, Nissan Murano, Subaru B9 Tribeca and Lexus RX350.

Equipped with a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission, Veracruz will offer an "unprecedented combination of styling, safety, comfort and convenience" including available all-wheel drive, standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), standard side-airbags, as well as side-curtain airbags for all three rows of passengers.

The midsize crossover will be larger than the Honda Pilot and have more cargo volume than the full-size Mercedes-Benz GL, according to the automaker

Pictures of the Veracruz have been going around for a while. IMO Hyundai has once again mastered the design element. It looks different, quite attractive. Double thumbs up.

Mk4 driver on Whoretex already has it. White boy, as you can tell from the pic. I'm surprised NYDOT let him have it. Actually, no, I'm not...

well i don´t know what a "jobber" is but i was under the impression they call it " carrera" in homage to la carrera panamericana, thus being totally mexico-related? and theres also a maserati mexico i think...

Ok, so I'm totally confused now. After your first post I thought you was saying that at least Porsche doesn't do what those 'bastard manufactureres' do, only you didn't know that Carrera is also a Mexico-related word.. Now it seems that what you're saying is "Porsche and Maserati are among those bastards using mexican names god knows why!" So which is right?

hee sorry for my english. door number one is the way to go.

the maserati thing was totally off topic. the second post i made was to point out the reason the name "carrera" can legitimately be considered "mexico related", as opposed to being just a Spanish word thrown in by Porsche for fun. we speak Spanish over here.

i think its pretty reasonable not to want anything related to your country in sucky, ugly vehicles such as the aztek and celebrating the links with shall we say more revered vehicles
