I'm not referring to real as in "licencing" real, but as in they are very close to the real thing - just look at the 300C bodied car - it is accurate down to the front wheel arches! Of course they will give them strange names and have a subtle difference (For example, with the 300C in the trailer, the rear lights look slightly different to the production model), but they are still the most "real" cars I have ever seen in the GTA series. Just compare these to some of the rubbish vehicles in SA.

Here's a really detailed breakdown of the trailer, shot-by-shot style:

This is getting a ridiculus amount of publicity. A countdown for a trailer!? And then a shot by shot breakdown of the 45seconds of non gameplay they show you?!! Give me a break.
Nice to see GTA caught up to Driver with some of these details. Looks pretty good though, just a pity it'll be awhile before i get my hands on it without handing over $1K+

I'm just a little confused though. If this is what it will look like, it will go against everything that GTA has previously stood for. Its been a cartoon-esque representation a gangster-war city. But this seems to be closely linked to real life. It was successful in its previous form but It'll need to ensure they really get it right if they are to pull off the same theme in a realist form.
No countryside to explore this time?
PPC - Put a V8 in it!
A small update on some of the details of GTA4.
New Jersey is included in the game which should make Rocky happy.

Hmmm, I wonder if this will make it to PC...
Every gta so far has been on PC and they would be nuts if they didn't considereing the relitive low amount of 360,s and ps3 compared to PC's.
It might be smaller overall but by the sound of things there is much more city in the map. GTA :SA had alot of empty space and wasted space GTA4 sounds like more buildings are usable instead of just the ones key to the story.
They say no planes but that doesn't mean there are no helicopters, hopefully anyway.

I wouldnt be too concerned. In some ways, San Andreas was too big. If you eliminate the planes (planes, not helicopters etc) then the smaller map becomes a small issue.
