You know the answer already. America always want big engines. You said so. And it looks like the Japs must secretly harbour a desire to build them bigger. Its just that their local market wont let them.

This is a good question. But another one on the same line is which is the BETTER engine. The 2.0l or the 2.5l ????
Any takers?
well considering they can get 0-100kph in 4.6 from the 2.0 litre motor.
The 2.5 litre motor better do something pretty amazing with its extra 500cc.
hmmm I wonder if they've up the boost as well on the larger motor...proburaly not.
the 2.5L has something like 224kw compared to the 2.0L's 195kw
the 2.0litre does it in 4.6 with all the restriction taken off(or the power pack added whatever you like to call it)
Hey Dweeb prove you're not a dickhead?

You, of all people, have the unmitigated gall to suggest that someone else's posts are lame!
Do you read your own posts?
Do you consider any of your posts to be of any value?
You could claim some credence if you didn't slander all those that have their own and vastly superior comments to make.
With your inane simplistic drivel, no one in their right mind would consider you anything but a imbecile.

Kudosdude asked a pretty important question about the motors themselves-which is better?
Well, the standard 2.0 in the STI versions has been roundly criticised for it's flacid nature off boost, which is all the way to 4000 rpm, so the 2.5 would immediately rectify some of that issue. Also, as noted by Fpv, the 2.5 produces more power (though that is not much to do with capacity directly). So think about it, would you like a car that is more powerful AND nicer to drive?
Guy_t may want to criticise Americans for their 'big engine' philosophy, but that motor was not designed in the US, and it will probably feature in more than just US spec cars in the future.
Well articulated Oz.

shut up you ozexige stupid wanker, can weget back to the topic at hand please make coments all you want but dont get pissed off if no one cares about your lame cut and past crap.
the drive is prob alot better
and will prob not be as stressed as the 2.0 litre.
I would love them to push the 2.5 litre motor to its max like they do with the 2.0
is it the same turbo from the 2.0 that they run or is it bigger?
