    2010 Monaco Grand Prix (May 13 - 16)

As always Monaco practice will already get underway on Thursday. With the largest grid in years, qualifying should be particularly interesting. Red Bull has not been strong here in the past but the RB6 seems to be quick everywhere, so another Red Bull pole is certainly possible.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Being almost 7 seconds slower in such a tight track, will Hispanias (or any of the other two new teams for that matter) be a problem in Monaco?

Having inexperienced back markers at such a tight track will surely be an issue... if they survive out there long enough to be lapped anyway. Anyone want to take bets on number of safety car appearences?

with hardly any room to pass anyway, they will certainly pose a serious problem. but they may also make for better opportunities for pases up front when dealing with traffic.

i'm thinking 3. 5 if it rains. i love this track and think it is so perfect because it is such an anachronism. i wish there were more short and challenging street circuits.

Gaffer/Duck/Duct/Race/Riggers/etc tape. Or if not, it's something that Mythbusters should test next time they visit the magical stuff.

Funny you mentioned that....MB did another Duct Tape special this week. They cut up a car(severed A and B Pillars, windows and some other stuff), and they were given duct tape to hold it together and it did.....

FYI, I think the top GP2 cars were faster than the HRT yesterday....

In fact they were faster than both HRTs and Di Grassi's Virgin, at least after the first practice.

Pretty embarrassing really. I suppose you could look under the surface though and consider both the fragmented development the Dallara/Campos/HRT car had, and also the smaller rear wing the F1 cars run now compared to the GP2 cars. I think we all remember the fun McLaren had at the start of last year with their rear wing and the challenge directing airflow to a smaller space.

Both Willis and Klien have said the Dallara car is below standard though, and i believe the team have officially split with Dallara now for the cars development.

Kubica goes quickest in final practice as Alonso damages his Ferrari F10 heavily. His mechanics will need to work very quickly to get the car ready in time for qualifying.

Alonso will not participate in the qualifying, so that crash really cost him. Massa was very close to sliding to the wall too, albeit with less speed.

Should be an interesting qualifying, as usual in Monaco.
