how's it priced in relation to the Z4? seems like they offer similar practicality...

Am I the only one who's disappointed that it's not a coupe cabriolet?

Well if you ask me, yes you're the only one.
I was disappointed to see that the made a folding metal roof thing on the 3series. The only car that suits the c&c roof is the Mercedes SL.

Where would a folding metal roof go on this car?

BMW are many things but great packagers of cars they are not. they couldn't fit 4 normal sized people into this car with a cloth roof, let alone a metal one.

agreed, i don't see a reason to get this over the Z4, they're both equally ugly and as impractical. just shove the twin turbo engine into the Z4 to make it complete...

And what of the Z4 coupe?

IMHO this diversification of the 1 series range is a little......overkill, at best.

It's like German engineers can't have idle hands or something.

Don't complain ! We Dutchies are making a hell of a lot of profit on these metal roofs

With the Z4 and the new Mini Convertible already on their menu, it really does seem to be the answer to the question that nobody asked...

'What is this car for?' It's often a question to BMW...
BTW, it is a 2002 (?) concept..damn, how was it called..CS2, maybe?? They have changed it in minor ways.

Wow, nice eye. They couldn't have copied that earlier concept car more.

I like the Z4 coupe, except from the front. The headlights look awkward.

I wouldn't mind putting the twin turbo I-6 in there either. Pulls together the gap between that an the M Coupe.

Well, the main reason I would want a CC instead of a regular ragtop convertible is just is that I'm thinking about moving back up north and it would be a lot easier to maintain a hardtop and would be a lot quieter than a ragtop would be.

The more I look at the rear on this pic, the more I think it looks like this.
