Valmet Automotive has developed an advanced soft top concept for convertible cars. The top has many features that traditional designs lack, among them smooth raising and closing as well as lowering, without slam or slap.
The triangle kinematics is used to control the soft movements of the top. The top is power operated and also the front latching works fully automatically.There are no visible holes in the tonneau cover as the mechanism locks the top tightly.
The concept was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show 1996.
