    Where is Matra

Am I missing something or has Matra been gone for a considerable amount of time?

I can't find anything about a holiday or him leaving etc.

I got into a really big fight with him and accidentally knocked him unconscious. He's still in a coma.

    You've lost me.

What's the Gladiator got to do with it?

I viewed Matra's profile and looked through the last few pages of his posts and he doesn't mention leaving anywhere...what happened?

Well, I exchanged PM's with him the moment before he left for good, it has something to do with a comment I made, but he left for other reasons as well. Those other reasons I'm not sure of.

In general, he was tired of always being attacked on his forum input through harsh debate, and the idea that he was never allowed to be wrong. He wasn't really angry at me or anything, but thanked me for my 'post' which proved to be a revelation in his book. He decided he would have no more of it. Here are the PM's, and the link in the first one has the post I made.

It's not aimed at you, more it was a catharsis for me.

You made somethign click and you're right ... if I give answers folsk get all defensive and attack my inputs. I'm seeing more of it and hadnt' realised it was annoying me so much until you posted that and it clicked.

    Thanks.

Hadn't realised how litle by little I was gettign annoyed at snide comments ( again NOT directed at you ) and it's time to step aside and not bear them I reckon.

Cheers for enabling and empowering my insight.

    Take care.
My response in the PM: How about that.. enlightening.

I meant it as more of a joke, but I'm proud that it made 'you' a better person.

In a way.. yes. But it was his own realization that caused him to leave, AFAIK. Hell, someone could have cussed him out on MSN and he might have gotten angry, but that was the last action Matra saw on the forum IIRC.

People leave and come all the time, its just more noticeable whens its a big member, someone else will take his spot eventually or maybe he will return.
