I need some in depth illustrations of venturi tunnels, and any info on building a miniature, i made a new car, which is much better than the one i posted in "my drawings" and my dad is going to help me build a mini out of clay, and wire frame or solid illustrations you have, and scale dimentions would be greatly appreciated

thats my ultimate goal! i dont hvae the model yet, as the design needs to be finalised, but i plan on either a 1/4 scale or 1/10 scale model
i would love to see if a company or firm would buy it, money obviously would play a part, but not the ultimate factor, id want to see if i can be involved in the design/prototype etc., and if i can, then i'll do it! once the design is final ill try to post it

You may want to research wind tunnel testing. Testing can be complicated especially if you want to compare you data to other real-world vehicles. If you do not follow certain guidelines you data will not be applicable to other vehicles, only to your specific wind tunnel and model.

The actual dimension of a wind tunnel will vary depending on the model size, fan characteristics, and flow requirements. Once you know the size of the model you can calculate the cross-sectional area of the test-sectional area needed to prevent blockage. Also, with the model size you can estimate the required flow rate. Once you know the flow rate you can select a fan, and depending the fan size and characteristics the diffuser (exhaust) and nozzle (inlet) cross-sectional areas can be calculated.

haha wow no useful posts, and then BAM i go to draw and two great posts, thanks guys, johnny, im no so much looking for the hard copy, as i have the design already form a website, but more the design of a venturi so i can replicate it in 25% scale form
