And running on 84 octane fuel for more power, and a flame kit for an extra boost?

Seriously thought, an ITR may be better on a track but a WRX is much better as a daily driver.

Would never touch a saab unless it was maybe a 9-3 vigen but from what im told they have hell understeer. The lexus is nice but to underpowered, really refined but not what im after. cheers
Ask Cyco about understeer i hear he does it plenty Forced understeer that is.

Shame about the lexus they looks pretty good to missing a blower..

The problem with the 9-3 Viggen isn't the understeer, its the torque steer.

There is a few braces that are available for the later that also help the former a touch.

‘Saab’s engineers reckoned a little torque-steer was no bad thing, that it allowed the driver to “feel the challenge of the power”. In the wet it would spin alternate front wheels so violently out of junctions and on uneven surfaces that it was possible to travel from one side of the road to the other without turning the wheel. The convertible married rampant torque- steer to a wobbly body and was probably the worst thing I’ve ever driven’

I think more than a touch is in order.

I'm not sure you can get even a 1:18 for $22.

But, assuming you meant $22k go for something like a 2001 Subaru WRX STi. Sweet. Should still have some left over for wheels and exhaust.

corrola's are fantastic cars and the only one i would possibly look at would be the sprotivo model, i think it has 140 odd kw. very reliable, holds value. In terms of the lexus i would prefer to have something thats go hard straight out the box rather than having to pump money into it(supercharged) to get any descent performance. And in regards to a 2001 STI WRX, if i could buy one for 22k i would but their asking around the early to mid 30's which is E36 M3 terriotry.

I would go with a WRX out of the 3 mentioned. Its a great all round vehicle, and since you said 'daily' driver it will work out just fine since your in Australia, plus you can have a little fun on weekends

But I doubt you'll be using the car for races etc. So it does not matter if the WRX was defeated by other cars like was mentioned. You will just be driving to and from, wherever you work or whatever. So the WRX would be your best bet. But if the price is as much as h22a said then maybe a corrola would work out just fine for you.

    Equinox:
    WRX 99 model $19,000 - feasible
STi WRX 99 Model $29,000-$31,000 - not feasible

Ive decided that i'll opt for the ITR. Reasons are...
    - Better looking car
    - Vtec Sound
    - Economy
    - Resale
Anyone wanna purchase a 2000 vtir prelude wit 98ks?

h22a, if I had more money I would definitely buy your Honda Prelude but I can't buy another car to accompany my 1982 Honda Civic. By the way, you chose a very good car... the ITR. Enjoy it!

Hey, if you like the sound of a weedeater at full throttle being attacked by a hive of huge bees, sure.

But if he likes it and you don't have to hear it, what's the problem?

I suppose the car with the best handling here is the Type R. If you like drifitng, then you know which. For the WRX, I personally have a soft spot for Imprezas, but since it's not the STi, it's as if buying a non-Type-R Integra.
