no, and its engine is based on the C5-R engine. but i'm pretty sure it shares its basic chassis architecture with the production model.

it is semi tube frame...compared to the production model the fron t fenders are chopped, and the fron half is tubes...

the core unitbody was kept(but chopped off like 3 inches from the bottom), the car had to use stock components in suspension parts(uprights and hubs I believe)...so on and so forth....still much more production based than DTM car....
