Almost. I use it probably 90% of the time at events and most of the time with shoots due to the flexibility and wideness. I have a few more lenses that I use for very specific things (like my Canon 50mm f1.4II) and some longer lenses, but I usually start with the 17-50 and throw something else on if I need to. I don't currently own a 70-200, but if I did, I'd use that a lot as well as I always use it a ton when I rent/borrow one and really like using it.

I've been very happy with the image quality of the Tamron and I think it's a great lens given the price. My only problems with it are the construction, really. It could be a little more solid (it definitely isn't bad), the autofocus is LOUD and not great and it's reverse zoom compared to Canon lenses. Other than that, I love it.
