I'm a GT1 kinda guy. Not a clue what my best time was though. I'm about 25 or so short of a full load of platinums. There's a few that I just genuinely can't do (usually those cone challenges) but the rest I've tried once or twice and figured It doesn't matter. Particularly since premium content pack 1 (Paris) came with the Speed 12, completely irradicating a prize for finishing the platinums. Can I therefore assume that you guys haven't got either of the premium packs? You should get em, they're cool. For little more than the cost of a pint down the local, you get a whole new city and a stack of new cars. Pack 2 (Longbeach) comes with the Radical, M3 CSL, 288 GTO and the Ariel Atom, to name but a few.

The one thing that I think sweeney left out is that you do need a credit card to sign up for Xbox Live, probably not a problem if your folks will let you use theirs, but otherwise it could be a problem.

I'm pretty poor at the game, but I'd happily join you guys in either some online racing or some offline time trials. In fact I think it's a great idea. I'm not a fan of Nordschleife on multiplayer though. Bearing in mind the stupendous average speed on tha track, it's too easy to lose it in one corner and spend the next 15 minutes or so driving round on ya Jack Jones. I'd probably say the Edinburgh tracks are my favourites. Haven't played for some time though, might have to pick it up again tomorrow.

I could name hundreds of cars that should be in the next one, i can even name cars that should have made it into this one (i.e. Lambo Murcie/diablo, mercedes... lots of em, BMW E39, McLaren F1, other TVRs.... i could go on for a long while).
