I just thought I'd remind you all of this brilliant british car. I realise it has been brought up in other threads some time back but i think we all need to see it again
The mid-engined, all-carbon, 500hp KZ1 was first shown in 2000 with first deliveries planned to begin in 2002. But the car wasnt ready by then, so they kept on spending in order to get it perfect. Its what many call: Britains response to the Gallardo. And its hard to explain but Ascari are simply 'giving them away'thats right, price = nothing. Why? Well this car will never go on sale. The greater part of the Ascari operation is now the race resort in southern spain, a sort of exclusive race track meets timeshare meets golf club due for completion in two years. It has been closely linked with the KZ1. So Ascari announced that ownership of the car would be linked to membership of the resort. There will be 40 equity shares offered in the resort, likely to cost in excess of £200,000. With this you get special priveleges as a member, including..the KZ1. A unique way of selling a car!!
