    i love lambourghinis but i have to admit it is close between the pantera and the countach.

    definatly the countach, that lamborghini defined an entire era in automotive history, that of the mid engined exotic supercar that we all cream over

    Lamborghini deserves that credit but not for the Countach but for its predecessor the Miura, that in spite of all its high speed handling problems, still stands out as the styling icon of the sixties. In a way the Ford GT40 street version could also make this claim to fame, but it was more of spin-off from a pure racing car than primarily designed for street use, as was the Miura. The designer of the Miura, Gandini, has admitted that he was certainly influenced by the Ford.
