Update: I reached my initial goal (3.6GHz). Let's see if I can push it further...

    Update 2: I settled with 3.75GHz @ 1.4v.

The BIOS would post at 3.8GHz but Vista would crash while starting up, even at 1.4v. Highest settings I managed was 3.76GHz (470 x 8) but the RAM was only running at 940MHz, so I settled with 3.75GHz and DDR2-1000. A very nice overclock I think.

You can probably get a little higher if you up the NB voltage.
But be very careful. Even the slightest overvolt WILL kill the NB.

I think he's reached the threshold of risk versus reward. His penis probably won't get much larger but the possible damage to his uber computer will. Well done Frenchman.

    Good choice

I'm running stock right now on my Pentium Dual Core E2160. But I'll be getting a Thermalright Ultra 120 or an equivalent soon. Or maybe one of those new Cooler Master drive bay based water cooling rigs, because those look pretty tasty.

I wanted the 120 but it was out of stock. I heard those E2160 chips overclock like champions

If you look really hard you can probably find DFP for that range....I think the actual retail price is in 100-120 range....
