Why not? It's the most innovative. I'd say on the basis of a classic car photo it excels above the others. The BW filtering on SPH's works well with the lambo. Drakkie, i see what you're trying to get at with the composition but its just not working for me. Maybe if the car was drifting around the bend that composition would work, but for a stand still photo it lacks the real status that a lambo photo should give.

It's only focused on one small part of the car, but the rest of the unfocused area takes up much more of the pic.

Still a pretty good pic though.

That's the whole point of that picture.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

I just think way too little of it is in focus. maybe if it were the vent and mirror...

It was about to rain, so it was dark even at 3:00 or so, so I had to use wide aperture, and that results in a small depth of field. The DOF seems to be causing a lot of controversy here...

there are less creative-minds amongst the voters thats why. I can't say its not expected, this is a car forum afterall so we can't complain too much. But quite often voters just want a nice clean shot of a nice car. But hopefully co-photographers reckognise certain creativity and balance the voting out a bit. Its all you can ask for a forum thats not primarily dedicated to photography.

I just don't understand why there is always someone saying "this photo shouldn't be here". It's automotive so, yes, it should be. No matter if all the car is there or half the car or just a detail. That's what creativity is all about...I guess.

All three make good use of their subject matter, but their choice of backgrounds is just shocking.

I think the "car over photo" theory has struck again.

and for the record, i'm voting for MyPorsche, simply because i like the composition. the fact that so much of it is blurry allows the detail to shine through.

i voted for drakkie because i think that the space left inder the car is well placed and compliments the car well. i think thats pretty creative, not just a centered shot. also, of course that myporsche's photo should be here, hes using a very good technique that compliments the whole photo. and dont critisize others photos unless its positive, or youve already recreated the photo to look how you want it to.
