it's a Lahti L-39, same 20mm rounds as the oerlikon. oh, you crazy Finns.
The gun was also widely used in the "Cold Charlie" technique, where the Finns would use a mannequin to pose as an officer sloppily covering himself, Soviet snipers would fire upon it, and the Finns would use the Lahti L-39 to fire at the Soviet sniper.

I keep trying to find out more about the bullets but aside from a muzzle velocity of 2,600fps and a diameter of 20mm, all I've found out is that phosphorous rounds were used. Hate the lack of info on some WWII weaponry.

it's like 20x87 iirc. standard ammo for WW2 era hispano-suiza and oerlikon cannons.

edit: i take it back. the NTW-20 uses the 20x82mm from mauser cannons. the lahti apparently uses a 20×138mm (Solothurn Long)

Right, but I'm more interested in weight, what other kinds of projectiles were used (armor piercing, shaped charges, high explosive, incendiary...), etc.

haha it's pretty distinctive. i swear there was a full article on it in a magazine under the historical section, but it's not showing up on their online index. they have stuff like the DeLisle carbine so the lahti should be in there too.

Hey you got your priorities straight. Guns behave much better than women, are quieter and are cheaper, too.

Edit: Top Ten reasons why Men prefer guns over Women

#10. You can trade an old 44 for a new 22.

#9. You can keep one gun at home and have another for when you're on the
    road.

#8. If you admire a friend's gun and tell him so, he will probably let you
try it out a few times.

#7. Your primary gun doesn't mind if you keep another gun for a backup.

#6. Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo.

#5. A gun doesn't take up a lot of closet space.

#4. Guns function normally every day of the month.

#3. A gun doesn't ask, "Do these new grips make me look fat?"

#2. A gun doesn't mind if you go to sleep after you use it.

And the number one reason a gun is favored over a woman....

#1. YOU CAN BUY A SILENCER FOR A GUN
