Breadmaker greater than sign Woolies. There's a lot of subtle variences that will affect the bread output, like if people don't read the instructions properly and put suger and salt and whatnot in with bread mix flour. Proper bakery bread is still the best, but now at least I can experiment with different breads in the comfort of my own home.

I concur that woolies bread is essentially aerated cardboard, but bakery's...are delicious. I enjoy my carbs.

    Here is my latest purchase...
A GE clock radio... the same model I used to own in the 1980s (bought the one I owned in 1984, I think).

This is a full-feature clock radio, with RCA plugs (can be connected to other types of speakers), bass and treble control and a loudness switch (very hard to find on clock radios). Also has built-in cassette player/recorder with tape counter and "record" light, built-in microphone and wake to alarm, radio or tape.

With the one I owned in the 1980s, I used one of the speakers that came with it and I used a PA speaker because there was one in the garage doing nothing.

I found the one I just bought on eBay. I have been searching for this model for one or two years and am glad one finally showed up for sale.

Here are some photos. I did save the original box from the one I owned years ago. See last two photos... it shows the features.

Very cool. I went to a local barbershop on Friday and there was a shelf going around the whole ceiling that was filled with different sorts of vintage radios. Stuff made by Motorolla, RCA, all that oldie stuff.

The haircut was expensive, $15, but I enjoyed seeing the old radios best.

And they had some British radio station on too.

I also have a 1960s radio which my parents bought. A Sears Sylvania radio. And I saw the exact same one on eBay!

I may buy a few '60s and '70s clock radios just to have them. To collect and/or store.

That is a good idea a barbershop having those vintage radios... they must get a lot of attention.

I saw some old radios at a market, the brand was His Masters Voice. It amused me for a while, until someone pointed out that that's where HMV (the music store chain) came from.

HMV is commonwealth countries, RCA is North America... the listening dog logo and slogan have always been associated with EMI & RCA
and came about at the beginning of the 20th century.
