yeah but now all it's telling you is the order of the alphabet
Not adding any "value" as I see it and even before it was debatable as it was just the order folks posted in.

I'll be honest with you - I think you are a fool, and I can assure you I'm not alone.

Anyway, don't you have to be over the age of 12 to post on a forum?
I don't think it was a personal attack, he just put you as an example because your username beggins with A and if you wanted to be added to the list all the numbering from you till the last one, which would be almost everything, should be changed. That's all.

Yes, my mistake. I thought he said "Arguing" when he really said "ignoring".

Ingolstadt and I recently had some serious disagreements, I jumped to conclusions. Sorry Ingolstadt

I don't know why you would decide to say that we have never met until now, but okay.

Why don't you just forget it, what's the point in having the numbering anyway? I fail to see a useful point, aside from knowing how many rides there is in total... and yet this can easily be calculated.

It's useful. e.g. "Check out my ride at no 47." There you go.

When the numbers pile up (see number of active users in UCP), it's much easier to browse with a numbering system.

How different to "check out my ride I'm Ingolstadt" and they can search alphabetically or - shock surprise - use the search page option in browser

How is browsing easier with numbers ? Browsing is just randomly wandering through, so don't see what numbers do for it ?
And will become near impossible to maintain the numbering - just imagine poor "aardvaark" when he/she is the 1,000th person to add to the list and he/she has to renumber the other 999

Aardvark is on top of my oddball-corner index....
