What is REALLY funny about this is that last year Ford pulled the plug on a MAJOR software investment that failed to deliver. FOUR years in development and millions poured down the drain !!

The software decelopment was code-named ...... EVEREST

By the looks of the license plate in the second group of pictures, I'd guess Latin America.

Is this thing current? That is, are they still making these?

This model is currently made and sold in Thailand and (I'm sure) countries close by.
I also think that some markets in Africa have it to.

I think I may have to eat my words. I did some research (okay, I typed "matatag la republica" into Google) and I now think the plates are probably from the Philippines, which would make sense given their proximity to Thailand.

Then I tried "License plate matatag" and the first result was for the "The Land Transportation Office of the Philippines," and they had pictures and descriptions, and it is definitely the Philippines, but the slogan is actually "Matatag na republika."

Looks like an SUV version of the Ford Courier ute, known as the Ranger in the U.S and U.K.
