This was originally meant to be a replacement for the Esprit.
It may look dated as it is 6 years old now.
Shown at Frankfurt in 1999, I believe one reason it was scrapped as a project was becasue it was important to make it possible to import it into the states. And they couldn't do it imediately. So they focused on doing that with the elise.

As it was never put into production, I'm going to rename this thread as a concept.

The back looks very wrong indeed, way too high.

You can definately see where the Elise borrowed its looks from in this concept though.

So sad that this wasn't the new Esprit or at least the Europa instead of the ugly design they went with.

The Europa's not so bad, although I don't see much of a difference between a Europa and an Elise. Anyone care to explain?

It has a different engine, it's heavier than an Elise and I belive it's taller. It's more comfort orientated than an Elise. But as it's based on an Elise there can't be that many differences.

Bigger, wider, taller, longer. It's got a bigger cabin thats easier to get into and a bit bigger boot. It's designed to be a daily driver more so than an Elise or Exige

How could a car based on the Elise be a bit more unfocused?
