Pictures were taken by myself during an exercise of the airport fire department and the Eindhoven department. These exercises now take place once a year after a C-130 Hercules plane crashed in July 1996, killing 34 people. Main cause was the bad communication between the civil and military fire services.

Wow, a big firetruck. I have no idea why, but I always like firetrucks. They're always so cool.

The 0-50 time is hilarious though. 30 seconds.

Not bad considering how much water weighs though.

Well I've seen them last week and somehow I can't imagine it really takes 30 seconds, it looked so much faster... Or they just look to go very fast and actually don't. But I guess the numbers were measured when they were filled with water...

It's probably got a monsterload of torque to get it going.

As I said, I always have a soft spot for big trucks. You probably have one too.

I love big firetrucks. One day I saw the ones from Vancouver Int'l Airport on an exercise, and it was just nuts. I had never seen something so big move so damn fast, and it was just wild. Those Titan's are gorgeous, nice and streamlined too.
