I2B Concept Project Raven Le Mans Prototype 2005

    Another from the I2B company.

The first I2B Project is called Raven. In basics, it was designed to be a LeMans prototype for a European super car manufacturer. The conception was classic - two wheel drive with a longitudinal middle engine. The profile of the car was designed especially to has the lowest as possible center of gravity and the lowest air resistance. To clear the design our first step was to build a clay model of the car in 1:10 scale. Some basic calculation for air resistance were made on Fluent. The first conception did not have enough down force so we decided to put a rear wing which at low speed would lay on the back end of the car.

    Main dimensions and characteristics:

    Wheels/Tires
    Front: 255/40 ZR 20
    Rear: 335/30 ZR 20
    Length 4600 mm
    Width 2010 mm
    Height 1100 mm
    Wheelbase 2600 mm
    Ground Clearance 70 mm
Engine - V10 Turbo charged with about 500HP
Weight no more than 1200 Kg

The Raven should had been on LeMans at 2006 but because of the small amount of investments into this project it is still on the drawing board waiting for better times to come.

What are the odds of this thing ever seeing the light of day?

    I'd say slim.

Maybe that's a mistranslation in there but that doesn't make sense.

Either it is a Le Mans prototype, in which case, why is it a modified road car that doesn't meet any of the ACO regulations? Or is it a Le Mans GT entrant, in which case it is not homologated, and still doesn't meet ACO guidelines - especially not movable aerodynamic devices?
