(from Kicherer Press Release)
Kicherer get the R8 in top form
The new Audi R8 accelerates from 0 to 100 in only 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of more than 300 km/h. For such a driving performance, highly sophisticated aerodynamics are necessary. In the wind tunnel, Kicherer has developed new body components, giving the Audi R8 not only a unique look but also an optimal aerodynamic downforce. The front spoiler reduces the lift on the front axle by 15 percent. As an aerodynamic counterpart for the rear axle, Kicherer has designed a new wing profile for the standard pop-up rear spoiler which provides increased downforce on the rear axle.
Exclusively for the new Audi R8, Kicherer has developed the three-piece RS-1 wheelset with the dimensions 8.5 x 20 on the front and
11.5 x 20 on the rear axle. Optimally, this should be combined with Michelin tyres size 235/30 ZR 20 and 325/25 ZR 20.
Kicherer has adjusted the chassis solutions to the wheel and tyre combinations. In co-operation with the suspension specialist H&R Spezialfedern, Kicherer has developed a lowering which despite the increase in performance still is absolutely suitable for everyday use. In addition to this, the lowering by 15 millimetres on the front and by 30 millimetres on the rear axle improves the R8s appearance even more. Thus, even when not in motion, the coup with the spring kit looks more dynamic than the standard one.
Kicherer always succeeds in making an exclusive car even a bit more unique and individual.
