    TVR Chimaera 1992-2003

    Brief History

The TVR Chimaera is a two-seater convertible sports car manufactured by TVR between 1992 and 2003. The car has a similar chassis to the Griffith and used the same derivatives of the Rover V8 engine. The Chimaera was intended to be the long distance tourer of the range and as such was longer, more spacious and had slightly softer suspension than its sister car.

A car that's not extremely handsome but because of the small numbers and the lovely V8 it's a treat nevertheless. Thanks for the photo's.

Yeah it has some odd shapes and curves...Never really gets ugly though. I'd buy it.

And for what it's worth, here's mine.
Had it a couple of years now, been remarkably reliable (contrary to popular belief). Needless to say I don't use it daily and especially not in the winter.
Personally I think it's gorgeous but I'm biased...

Nice Desighn, I would buy it then drive it everywhere with the roof down just for that side profile.

And not forgetting the 'dog bite' detail around the front indicators - designed when Peter Wheeler's dog took a nibble on the clay model prototype. True apparently!
