Chassis:
Commissioned by Norman Blank through Luigi Chinetti, this 250 GT SWB was finished in a custom blue with a red leather interior. It was completed in time for the 1962 New York International Auto Show where it was displayed on the Pininfarina stand. Blank ultimately did not take delivery and the car went to Dr. Anderson from Jacksonville, Florida instead. He had the car resprayed and used the car extensively. The car had racked up nearly 100,000 miles, when it was eventually sold, in 1979. The next custodian had the car painted once more, choosing Ferrari-red. The car continued to be used and remained in North America until the late 1980s, when it was acquired by Swiss collector Peter Heuberger. He had the SWB comprehensively restored by Oldtimer Reparatur in Toffen. During this time, the engine was uprated to semi-competition specification by installing a set of six twin-choke Webers. Following a brief spells in the hands of Carlo Vögele and Engelbert Stieger, chassis 3169GT joined the collection of Klaus Troche in 2000. While behind the wheel of this car, he suffered a heart attack. From his estate, the car was bought by Swedish collector Staffan Wittmark. Under his custodianship, the repair work was completed by Carrozzeria Quality cars. In May of 2023, the car was shown again for the first time. A year later, it was consigned with the rest of the collection to the dedicated Artcurial W Collection sale in Monaco.
