Chassis:
Sold new through Bugatti's agent in Nantes, this Ventoux bodied Type 57 was acquired by a Gustave Lefort. He took delivery of the car late in 1934 and would go on to own it until the end of the decade. Following many more years in French hands, it was eventually sold to The Netherlands. Halfway through the 2000s, chassis 57239 was sold to an Italian collector, who had the car restored and re-painted. In 2016, it was shown by Bugatti specialist Jaap Braam Ruben at the Interclassics and Retromobile shows.
