Like the first 'SSJ', Duesenberg built the second example with a famous actor in mind; Clark Gable. He already owned another Duesenberg and never actually purchased this SSJ. Duesenberg did lent him the car for a period for publicity purposes. Fully restored the 'Clark Gable SSJ' was brought to the 2003 Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance where it was joined by the 'Gary Cooper SSJ'. The two sister-cars are pictured in front of Meadow Brook Hall.
