Chassis:
This GT40 Mk II made a victorious debut during the 1966 Daytona 24 Hours in the hands of Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby. It was next used at Le Mans where Miles, now partnered by Denny Hulme, looked set to win his third long distance classic in one year. He crossed the line first just ahead of his team-mates for the arranged 1-2-3 finish. To his despair the sister car of Chris Amon and Bruce McLaren was classified as the winner as it had started further down the grid. Chassis 1015 was raced again only a handful of times. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the historic victory, it was demonstrated and raced during the 2006 Le Mans Classic.
