What about coming to Haslemere?
You won't be able to drive when you come over, you have to be 18 to drive your own car in Europe, 21/25 (I forget which) until you can drive a rental or another car that isn't your own.
Hertz Rentals? VW Golf TDI/SEAT Leon TDI
V0R5PRU7NG DUR6CH T3CHN1K
Motion & Emotion
Audi A3 Quattro TDI S Line maybe?
in Italy you can drive a car if you are at least 18, obviously with a valid license, but when driving a car that isn't of your own, it's just a matter of the insurance the car has. being a rental car, it would be that they won't rent you the car if you are under a certain age, but I never heard of such a case.

for the 'Ring book VERY VERY early ( like now ) if you want a lap in the Ring-Taxi.

I believe the new museum is already open.
Probably, I think it's 25 here for a rental. Golf TDI > Leon TDI.
What about just lapping it myself? Would I have to book that with the track or just the rental company for whatever car we'd take on the Nurburgring?

With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls
My dad and I visited Berlin a couple years ago. We didn't do anything specifically automobile related (we didn't even rent a car), but if you're interested in WWII history, I recommend taking an English-language walking tour of the city like we did, especially if your German isn't very good. The one we took hit all the major spots from the various periods of Berliner history, such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, the last standing piece of the Berlin Wall, etc. The museum at Checkpoint Charlie is probably worth a visit, too; there's some neat stuff there. The Pergamon Museum is a must-see if you like ancient history.

Would it be possible for him(or his dad, more likely) to buy a beater, thrash it around the Ring, and then send it off to a junkyard for about 250 Euros?
I'm completly ingnorant on this subject, but I'm throwing ideas out there because if MP is flying all the way out to the 'Ring, so he should have the opportunity to drive the 'Ring.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
I am living about 400 kms away from the Ring, and I would not dare to go out there, even with a "beater". As "general public" you will get only access during the general public opening times, and believe me, there are many idiots around there. You will have to watch your rear mirror all the time....official casualty statistics are kept a secret, but many people find their end on the Ring, however many of those are motorcycles.....
