Chassis:
We are not completely sure whether, like Joest, Kremer received/acquired a complete 936 from Porsche but this car has been generally accepted as chassis 936-005. Referred to in period as the 936/82, it was raced by the Kremer team in the popular DRM series in the first half of the 1982 season. Rolf Stommelen achieved victory in the Int. Flugplatz Rennen at Wunstdorf. Later in the year, the car was replaced by the Kremer CK5 Group C car. Recently offered for sale in Great Britain, it is now back in German hands. Despite not having run for nearly two decades, it was entered in the 2012 Le Mans Classic. Sadly, mechanical issues prevented it from completing more than a handful of laps. Chassis 936-005 has since been better sorted and run at select events, usually with Le Mans winner Marco Winner behind the wheel.
