Chassis:
The 11th car built, this McLaren F1 was originally finished in carbon black. In 1998 the second owner had the car fitted with the 'High Downforce Package' that resembles the Le Mans winning F1 GTR body kit. Some years later, it was returned to McLaren once more to be re-painted and re-upholstered to its current colour combination, which was created by putting a blue lacquer over silver base coat. In this guise, it was auctioned by Christie's in June of 2003 for just under GBP 640,000. Today this McLaren F1 is owned by a noted North American collector. At a rare outing, it is seen here during the 2010 Quail, a Motorsports Gathering.
