Chassis:
Also known as 'R6', this was the sixth of the works 911 Carrera RSRs built. Sporting the works Martini colours, it debuted with a GT class victory in the Vallelunga 6 Hours in the hands of George Follmer and Willy Kauhsen. A week later Manfred Schurti and Helmut Konigg drove it to a class win in the Le Mans 4 Hours and Reinhold Joest and Follmer repeated that feat in the Spa 1000 Kilometres. Its biggest success came at the Targa Florio where it scored the outright victory in the hands of Herbert Muller and Gijs van Lennep. Before the end of the season, it was sold and has since only passed through a few hands. The current owner, a Porsche collector of note, acquired it in 2008 and brought it out to the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911 was celebrated.
